Driving Lessons in Leeds.
When you are preparing for your driving lessons in Leeds or elsewhere you will need to obtain a provisional driving licence. You can apply for a provisional driving licence upto 3 months before you turn 17 so that you are prepared to drive as soon as you are 17.
You can now apply for a driving licence online using this link:- "Driver licensing online" or you need to call at a post office and obtain a form (D1) which is an application for a driving licence, you also need to get an up to date passport style photograph which may need countersigning. The driving licence application form should also come with an information booklet (INF1D) containing detailed information on how to fill the application out correctly.
You should also be able to read a car number plate from a distance of 20 metres (65 feet), if the number plate you are reading is one of the slighty older style (pre-2001) number plates, then you should be able to read this from 20.5 metres (67 feet).
